Strong fleet growth across Asia-Pacific continues to drive demand — but engine durability challenges, constrained shop capacity and supply chain pressures remain key realities the industry must navigate. Events like this are valuable because they bring together perspectives from across the ecosystem — airlines, MROs, OEMs and suppliers — all working toward the same goal of keeping aviation moving. Encouraging to see the openness of discussions and the willingness to collaborate across the industry. Always good reconnecting with friends and colleagues here in Hong Kong. Nothing beats welcoming the Lunar New Year surrounded by good friends and familiar faces from the aerospace family. In an industry that moves at high speed, it’s moments like these — sharing a meal, a laugh, and a toast — that remind me how important relationships and camaraderie truly are. It was a real pleasure reconnecting with Jack Morrison — the last time we met was back in 2018. Always good to cross paths with industry friends, and I must say, Boon Yen Ng continues to be a personal inspiration when it comes to style and presence — truly one of the great professionals in our industry. Looking forward to more meaningful conversations, new connections, and opportunities to collaborate with industry partners over the next few days.

I will be attending the upcoming Singapore Airshow and am genuinely looking forward to reconnecting with leaders, industry partners, and friends from across the global aviation and aerospace community. The Airshow is always a valuable opportunity to have meaningful conversations on where our industry is heading, share perspectives on transformation and growth, and strengthen long-standing relationships. A heartfelt thank you to Malaysia Airlines’ outgoing CEO, Captain Izham Ismail , for his trust, support, and exemplary leadership over the years. Another productive golf session, this time with Raul Villaron , whose leadership continues to drive significant commercial success for the Asia-Pacific sales team, including key partnerships with Scoot and Alliance Airlines. A valuable opportunity where work and leisure converged, enabling meaningful discussions and strengthening professional ties.
